Weekly Roundup

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.” –Ansel Adams (“A Personal Credo”)

  • My favorite photo this week on Flickr (Fuzzy – above).
  • Photos of the Great Barrier Reef show signs of more coral bleaching. As a diver and lover of the ocean, it disheartens me to see our environment worsen due to human causes. Do your part. Take care of this beautiful world we live in.
  • Charles Daly wrote a short piece about my Siesta Doors project on Medium: “Being on the lookout for doors allows me to see more and notice more in general. It keeps me mindful and aware when I walk around the city. This project is all about conscious observation as opposed to shuffling from place to place with your head down.”
  • Throwback Photo of the Week: Willet in Amelia Island, FL. Willets will pretend to be disabled by a broken wing in order to draw attention to themselves and lure predators away from their eggs or chicks.
